Who's Your Point of Reference?

Humans, especially us ladies like to browse…A LOT.  

We browse at the grocery store... Hmm..what am I going to eat for dinner tonight? 

We browse online..” ohhh that’s nice...Do  I need that? OFCOURSE NOT! But I’m buying it anyway, because I had one glass too many and instant gratification feels great!

However, if I shop in this state, I tend to forget buying anything at all so it’s really a gift to myself, because there’s always a sober surprise in the mail….WAIT..Don’t I already have this?

I’ve also found that people like to browse on dating apps. They’re swiping everywhere! Up,down, left, right on so many potential brides and grooms,  it makes my head spin!!

I had a single friend who showed me one of the apps he was on, and he let me take his phone and explore without giving me specific swiping instructions. Poor guy! I didn’t know what I was doing and matched him with all kinds of people! Needless to say, he never let me explore again!

I really had no idea how popular it was to meet online until I started asking customers how they met. One couple told me about an app they met on, and this app seemed safer than some of the others, because you’re only matched with people with whom you have mutual friends. What a GREAT IDEA! I think having  that point of reference IS EXTREMELY HELPFUL  when navigating  through the dating jungle. . And naturally, in the wild,  you always have the potential to encounter all kinds of scary creatures. But now, you can automatically narrow down the amount of potential traumatizing experiences by having a trusted point of reference. And who better than your friends?!

From my research, people normally ask their close group of friends, "Hey who did you go to...? Did you have a good experience?"  Referrals are a huge part of our business (our 4.9 star Google Rating helps too!) but I’ve found, especially since quarantine, more people want to shop locally.
